Ahri walking cycle

It still has problems and it may seem strange :3..
there arms- hair -and so on :Q

I learned 3D programm, so I haven't practiced 2D animation for a long time -
It's always hard to learn the basics.. and I still has a long way to go T_T

I'm dying to learn animation somehow (I think every artist dreams of seeing his work in motion).
but as I am self taught, I find it very difficult to find nice teaching material on the internet or through bookstores in my country.

I think it looks good for now! It's just that if one knows how she walks in-game it may look strange.
I actually like it a lot to see Ahri walking differently! I just think she is walking too "bouncy" like too much going into knees for each step (I'm sorry for the bad explanation, English isn't my mothertongue)

Glad to see Ahri getting some love! It seemeth to me that the steps arent very natural, like someone else pointed out thye look like really big steps, which looks out of place on Ahri.
Very nice model tohugh ^^

This is good *Ahri fan* but I'm about to go critique mode (lol?):

I really like the stride for her. The foot rolls are also really good. I'm guessing this is about 15-20 frames? This is pretty detailed for so little frames. The ears are a good secondary animation, as well as the tail and chest.
My upset comes from the arms, hands, and hair.
For such a large stride, her hair should swing wider and less often, rather than the small and fast wave you have going on.
The hands are moving too much for such a wide stride. A good thought is to reference your own way of walking; do you wave your hands that much when you do that kind of walk? Is that hand movement a unique trait to the character?
The only other thing I have to point out is your loop is still a bit choppy. Check the last and first frame, then add one more in-between to smooth it out, because it still jerks a bit (especially in the knees and arms).

Other than that, this is good! I can tell you have some experience with animation, and this is a good cycle! (I'm just an overly-analytic animator who has too big a mouth lol)

It's 16 frame cycle :) umm yes- It's a first problem that I animated her without considering the character's traits - Thank you very much, that is helpful :)

I was a frame off! I told my friend it was a 15 frame cycle lol :)
And it's no problem, I like seeing good animation and this is some of the better ones I've seen :D

First off, nicely done. I would just to mention some things that I've noticed that might be able to help you become a better animator, I know I would like the critics heh. The big things I saw were the spine, the hands, the head...ignoring the hair...and the knees.
The spine doesn't move. You have the twisting of the shoulders and the hips which is great :D but the spine should also 'bounce' forward and back just a bit going between C and S curves. You might have it there and I'm just not seeing it. If so forget I said it :P
The arms have a nice, natural swing to them and they match the long stride. The hands, for the most part, should be just following the movement of the arms. You have it when the arm is swinging forward and part of the way back, but once the hand start in behind her the fingertips start to lead and it look off.
The head isn't moving at all. It should be bouncing a long with the rest of her, acting secondary to the spine, so her head would tilt down when shes at her tallest and tilt up when shes taking her long step. Also, have the head tilt left and right to follow the twisting of her shoulders with each step. You can see her hair ear things doing that already but her head isn't moving at all, so it looks off. To really make it shine, off set the head twist by a frame or two for some awesome overlapping action :D
As for the knees...they seem to pop when she takes a step and the weight is being placed on the foot. Could just be the long stride doing that
All in all, nicely done. Good work on the secondary action for the tail and hair, though the hair seems to pop/jump at one point. I like the colouring of it too. One last thing before I bugger off and leave you alone is if you short her right leg just a bit, enough to off-set the feet, you'll show perspective instead of having her in a totally flat world

Thanks for a long- comment :) The basic of the animation was so difficult either 2D or 3D, and It have quite different point to be considered each other i think - so... walking animation was delicate and difficult
Thank you for your helpful advice. :)

You're very welcome. Hopefully you'll find some of it useful :D There is a bit of difference between animating 2d and 3d, but the principles of animation are still there and the process is about the same for both. I prefer 3d myself, and I have great respect and awe for classical animation hehe

There is a slight pop in the arm facing closest to us, as well as the legs as they make contact with the ground. The hands feel odd as they are going back, should be facing the opposite way like force is dragging them. I love the tail though, very nice overlapping action. :D

Dem boobs.

I think you've done a good job, you obviously know the movements. Everyone's pretty much said everything that I would, decrease the bounce and the "manliness" of the walk by shortening the stride and how far she goes down a tad, the arms etc. I wouldn't actually say the hair was a problem :XD: I can see there are comments about the boobs, but I didn't know if you were going over them to be over exaggerated xD personally, i LOVE the boobs being this way. It depends if you want her to be sexualised or not. After all, considering the character, i wouldn't think you were aiming for realism. Just goes to personal taste :D

its all very cute

AHH ONLY ONE TAIL
Just kidding, I know all nine swinging around would likely be a bitch to animate.
I actually like the over-exaggerated movements myself. One thing I am noticing is the head though - the ears seem to tilt and change direction with her step more dramatically than her head does.

But this is a very cute walk cycle for a very cute champion. :3

She's walking very manly. Maybe that's why it seems kinda strange?
I like the way you animated the hair, seems so touchable and soft.
And the boobs... Yeah, they're always bouncing like that. Such a problem u_u *sniff*

Everything is nice ^___^♥

Btw, she's one of my mains :)
Loved it more.~

Ya everyone's pretty much said everything. It's very cue but just a little over exaggerated in the movements. Her knees go a little to high and she bounces up and down just a little to much. Her body movements just need to be over all a little more subtle for a natural walking feel.

But it does look like a haters gonna hate walk the way it is. Still awesome xD

But if you would change something, I'd say she's a little bit too bouncy.
